Tips for the Scottish Rite Center

Friday and Saturday nights there will be tickets at the door but it's always a good idea to reserve yours at Brown Paper Tickets.
Parking is tight in the neighborhood. MAX red and blue lines stop in front of the SRC. MAX yellow stops four blocks east. Buses stop at the SRC. Bike racks will be installed at the front entrance.
Bring water bottles and coffee mugs to the Scottish Rite Center Friday and Saturday to help save on wasted cups.

Hosted by buzzsaw banjo builder Brooks Masten, the Cabaret features many short performances.

The Cabaret is your chance to get on stage and strut your old-time stuff. These are often some of the most surprising and memorable performances of the week! While some acts are predetermined by the organizers, there are several spots available on a first come, first served basis. Sign-up with Sarah Ells at the information table in the Scottish Rite Center on Saturday at 4pm.

Foghorn's traditional warm-hearted long goodbye, unamplified, good food and drink, time to visit, make farewells and wind down.

	Yes, we are asking for volunteers! All of us performers and organizers volunteer our time at The Gathering, but we need you to make the festival happen. Because The Gathering inspires and energizes our own old-time music and dance community and has influence throughout the Northwest and west coast, you can be sure that your contribution will be felt for years to come. There are benefits to volunteering that include free admission to paid events, and there are a variety of tasks you can help with. 		The jam sessions are open to the public and take place all over the building! Are you new to playing music? We have a slow speed jam session tailored just for you. Take a clogging lesson, try out the archaic Sacred Harp singing style, enjoy wonderful concerts, have fun with your kids in the family dance! And it's all free, although any kind of donation is appreciated and will go toward defraying the cost of the Gathering.

	7:00-9:00	While this event is supported by Bubbaville, it is an independent dance and not an official part of the Gathering. Bubbaville and the Sunday dance organizers offer it as another way for festival-goers to say their goodbyes and twirl off into the sunset.
