Gents shuffle to left. Pass your partner one, swing, place her back. Go on around. Pass your partner two, swing, place her back. Go on around. Swing home, corners too.
RAISE THE WINDOW - Strive to maintain a circular path. As
"locks" form, move toward the center to reduce strain.
- All hands joined in a large circle. Designated lead gent
releases corner's hand. His corner
and her partner raise joined hands in an arch. Lead gent pulls
everyone through the arch,
continuing cw around the outside and back to place. The corner
gent turns 3/4 under his
own arch, lowering his right arm onto his left shoulder to "lock"
into position. The locked
gent and his corner lady then raise the next arch and lead gent
drags everyone through the
same. All continue cw, the corner lady turning 3/4 under her own
arch. She lowers her
right arm onto her left shoulder to lock in place. Lead gent
continues to pull the line
through every arch (locking the person on the left side of each
arch.) The last lady (lead
gent's corner) puts her free right hand on her shoulder and lead
gent takes it with his free
left hand to finish. Now all move cw.
UNLOCK. To release the lock:
(a) Raise right arms and rotate cw to reform the original circle.
(Or, in 4, raise left arms
and rotate ccw.)
(b) Reverse the procedure. The lead gent, or the last gent (lead
gent's corner's partner,)
releases corner, raises right arm and turns cw to unlock. He then
passes under the arch
formed by his partner and her corner, continuing cw and unlocking
her. Continue
unlocking until the original circle is reformed. [Thread
