COUPLE COUPLES SWING Odds split evens, gent goes left and lady right, around behind the evens and back to place. All swing partners and circle left. Evens join two hands and raise an arch. Odd gent stays put but odd lady ducks through arch and turns around. As she turns, evens turn cw half around. Odd lady ducks back through arch to home. All swing partners. [Hold High the Gate; Hendrix]   Hold high the gate Let the dove pass thru Swing your gal before she swings you BUFFALO LOOP From a circle. Without dropping hands, evens raise an arch between them and odds duck through. When odds are partly through the arch they drop each other's hands but keep corner's hand. Odd gent goes left (ccw) around his corner and odd lady goes right (cw) around hers, pulling the evens through their own arch (the evens turn under their joined hands.) Finish the swing with gent on the left and lady on the right and facing partner. Pass by partner, turn around and swing partner. [Swing Your Opposite Behind Your Back; Edelman]   Pass through and back to back And swing your opposite behind your back Now pass through on the same old track And swing your own behind your back Same as one above except that a balance precedes each swing. DUCK FOR THE OYSTER Circle four. Without dropping hands, odds duck partly through evens' arch and back up to place. Evens then duck under odds' arch and back. Now odds go all the way through evens' arch, odd man turning ccw and odd lady turning cw under their own joined hands (they roll back-to-back against each other.) Odds keep their joined hands raised in an arch and pull the evens through it. Evens turn away from each other (gent turning cw, lady ccw) and back under their own joined hands and under the odds arch to reform the circle. Whew. Corners swing, then partners swing. Odds step back to place and swing once around (evens don't swing.) Odds repeat all above, but this time both couples swing partners.
