LADIES IN THE CENTER BACK TO BACK
- All swing partners 3/4 around, ladies stop back-to-back in the
center. Men travel single
ccw around the ladies, pass partner and (a) swing with the next
lady once around. Ladies
step back in center back-to-back and gents go around again. Gents
pass the one they
swung and (b) swing with the next once around, then promenade with
her using skater's
hold. Gents swing with this lady 3/4 around, ladies going to the
center again and gents
travelling ccw. Gents again swing with the one they just danced
with, leaving her in the
center. Gents pass the one they just danced with and (c) swing
with the next once around.
Ladies return to the center and gents go around again, pass the
last one and (d) swing with
original partner. Finish with The Grand Promenade #1 (see squares index).

- Ladies in the centre and back-to-back,
While the gents go galloping round, Come your partners, swing, Pass your partners once, Pass your partners twice, Pass your partners three, Come your partner, promenade, Home swing, Gents in the centre, etc. ~ As called in Harlan County, Kentucky, in 1917
- Partners swing 3/4 around, ladies stop
back-to-back in the center. Gents travel ccw
around the ladies, pass partner and swing with the next. Ladies
step back to the center,
gents travel around them, passing the one they just danced with
and swinging with the
next. This time gents step to the center back-to-back and ladies
travel ccw around them,
passing the one they just danced with and swinging with the next.
Gents step to the
center, ladies travel around them ccw to meet original partners. At this point, all join hands in a big circle and balance, meaning take four steps in to the center and four steps back. Repeat the balance, then swing partner and

- Ladies in the center, men take a walk.

travel ccw around ladies, pass partner and
swing with the next lady and promenade. Couples swing half around,
ladies step to

with and swing with the
next, then promenade. Repeat until final swing and promenade with

with gents in the center
