SWING HER IN
Promenade in "varsouvianna" position, left hands joined in front and right hands joined on lady's right shoulder. To roll the lady in, she slides to partner's left while they raise their joined left hands up overhead and down in front. Reverse the move to swing back out. [Roll The Ladies In; Bannerman] [Dunmore The Ending; Dalsemer] [Roll the Ladies In, Roll the Ladies Out; Bonner]

SHOO FLY
Lead couple steps inside the circle and they allemande right. Lead lady allemande left with the next gent (her corner,) meets partner in the middle for an allemande right. She then moves on to the next gent for an allemande left. Leads continue, partner by the right and next gent by the left, all the way around the circle to place. As soon as the next available couple is clear (when lead couple is dancing with fourth couple down the line,) the second couple begins the figure. Each couple in turn joins in. [Smith suggests a small circle of no more than ten.] [Shoo Fly; Smith] [Shoo Fly Swing; Hipps] [Shoo Fly Swing; Bonner]

SWING THE ONE BEHIND
  1. All promenade. Gents hang back while ladies move ahead two (or any designated #) and swing the new gent. Repeat until back with original partner. [Promenade and Move Up Two; Hipps] [Ladies Stand Still, p. 14; Rohrbough] [Promenade and Move Up Two p. 33; Rohrbough]

    Now get on the floor,
    And tear down the door.
Swing her high and in the shade,
    And promenade to the right.
Ladies move up two and swing.
When you get your partner, swing her high
    And swing her low.
    Swing her twice
    And let her go.
    ~ Rohrbough -- Smith, p. 33

  2. All promenade, left hands joined in front and gent's right arm behind lady, right hands joined on lady's right shoulder. Gents don't stop moving forward; ladies turn out cw under the joined and raised right hands to catch the gent just behind and resume the promenade with him. Lunsford begins with a Ladies in the Center Back to Back figure and then calls this figure. [Ladies Turn Out and Drop Back One; Gilpin]

Ladies turn out and drop back one.

  3. All promenade. Gents turn back and swing the lady behind. Resume promenade with that one. Repeat until back with partner. [Fall Back and Swing; Hipps]

    Couples promenade two by two,
Gents fall back one and swing the gal behind you.
Promenade on as you always do,
    Promenade two by two
Repeat the above until all are back with partners.
Gents turn and swing, you know who,
This is the gal that belongs to you,
Now promenade home as you always do.

  4. All promenade. Gents turn back (rotating ccw) and swing the lady behind. Resume promenade with that one. Now ladies turn back, swing partner and promenade. [Swing the Girl Behind Your Back; Bonner]

Gents you swing the one in back
Promenade this gal and have some fun
    Ladies around, gents forward one
    Swing that lady twice around
Any old way but upside down.
