CLASSES

Portland's callers are inaugurating an irregular schedule of workshops to help new callers get started, and to allow the experienced callers to work out new dances and figures. We have excellent live music lined up, potluck snacks, no admission charge, but we will need 8-12 volunteer dancers for each 2-hour session. We hope to have a web sign up page soon, but contact nkm@bubbaguitar.com if you want to be a dancer or learn to call dances.

LEARN TO PLAY A SCHOTTISCHE - PLEASE?
Take a gander at a whole page meant to encourage oldtime square dance musicians to add a schottische dance tune to their repertoire. Schottisches belong at square dances right alongside waltzes. Did I mention polkas...?
