The fantastic annual old-time square dance immersion for dancers and wannabe callers - December 12-14. 2009 - Seattle! http://www.bubbaguitar.com/d2bs/ |
||||
CLASSES Portland's callers are inaugurating an irregular schedule of workshops to help new callers get started, and to allow the experienced callers to work out new dances and figures. We have excellent live music lined up, potluck snacks, no admission charge, but we will need 8-12 volunteer dancers for each 2-hour session. We hope to have a web sign up page soon, but contact nkm@bubbaguitar.com if you want to be a dancer or learn to call dances. RESOURCES A Look At Southern Squares ~ Bill Martin's collection of Southern square dance figures. Dare To Be Square 2010 dance and workshop notes ~ Bill Martin's notes and handouts presented at the festival in Seattle. Did I mention polkas...?
